Would you rather…

Can you take the heat all bundled up? How about the cold while wearing only a bikini? Today’s Would You Rather is all about summer and winter clothes with seasons flipped:

Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

WYR8

I’d rather wear summer clothes in winter.

Pretty straight forward, but I didn’t a double take and thought this question through. At the drop of the hat I’d have said that I’d rather wear winter clothes in summer simply because I’m weak in cold weather, so I’d rather be at a warm climate. Then again, I imagined myself suffocating because of the heat! I’d have no natural way–supposing that a heater or air conditioner would be out of the question–of coping with a warm weather, made warmer by winter clothes.

However, in winter, regardless of what I wear, I’ll be able to do things to help my body warm up.  I can dance, run, practice yoga, and all sorts of physical activities so that I can cope. With these, I can generate enough heat so that the cold will never bother me (“anyway”). Did you sing it? 🙂

How about you? Which would you rather choose?

Would you rather…

Another week and it’s the 7th out of 14 would-you-rathers care of beyondbeautyblogger. Thanks so much for this! I hope you’re not getting annoyed by my tagging you. Just let me know if I should stop. 🙂 We have 7 more to go after this and there are still some questions that’re hard to answer while others seem trivial and/or just don’t apply. Regardless, I always look forward to answering them.

Would you rather only use one eye shadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

WR7

I’d rather only use one eye shadow color for the rest of my life.

Let’s face it, there are many ways to get creative with only one eye shadow. Blend it well enough and you can get a smokey effect of that one color. You can even just use it as eye liner and eye shadow given the right brush. Plus, I’m more comfortable working with just one eye shadow color versus one lip color. I always find myself applying 3 to 5 products on my lips–lip balm, 2-3 shades of lipstick, and lip gloss (optional).

Also you can do many things with your eyes than with your lips. If you’re not completely happy with just the eye shadow, you can always add eyeliner and designer false eyelashes to add spice to your eyes. With the lips, you just have one lip color that requires massive skill (to my mind) to shade/blend and most of the time, it’s just the ombre look. So yeah, I’d rather only use one eye shadow color. 😉

How about you? Which would you rather only use?

Would you rather…

Alas! After 4 weeks of finding photos and having fun editing them, this week’s would you rather proved to be difficult and I’m not quite sure if the photos are really true to the caption provided. So aside from the photos I gathered and mixed together, I also found videos to share connected to today’s WYR.

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

WYR5

I’d rather apply lipstick as eyeliner.

It’s not my best edit, I know, but give me an A for effort. I combed through lots of pictures over the past week to find the ones I can work with. Truly, the internet is a wonderful thing.

Going back to the topic, yeah, I’d rather apply lipstick as eyeliner. Well, more like eye shadow. My eyelids are less sensitive than the rest of my face, breakout-wise, so I think using lipstick as eyeliner will be safer. Although if we talk about lining my eyes specifically, I’d much rather use black lipstick as eyeliner because I’m not quite comfortable with colored eyeliners. I feel constricted when it comes to choosing eye shadow colors to pair them with.

As to eyeliner as lipstick… meh. I’m afraid it’ll just dry out my lips. If I apply lip balm first and then the eyeliner on my lips, I feel that the eyeliner will not stick.

Plus, I think it’s more practical to use lipstick as eyeliner than eyeliner as lipstick if only to save money and the product. What do I mean by this? Well, eyeliners come in small volumes/proportions than lipsticks and I think relatively more expensive than lipstick as well. And there’s much more space to fill in on the lips than the eyes. So yeah, I’d save more money and of the product if I use lipstick as eyeliner instead. 😉

Moving on to the videos, please look at the following video tutorials I found on YouTube. Enjoy!

Would you rather…

Here’s to the fourth installment of Would You Rather beauty blogger tag. I just realized, while typing this post, how answering the WYR tag weekly can feel like a monthly interval. The time gap in between feels so lo0o0ong! But I need time to find and edit pictures to portray each WYR question so please bear with me. In any case, you can always find the list of WYR questions from beyondbeautyblogger. It’s thanks to her that I am able to express my creativity this way. 🙂 And answering the tag is so much fun! You should try it as well.

I’d rather buy makeup.

Would you believe that it’s easier for me to buy makeup than clothes? I suck when it comes to buying clothes. I don’t know what best fits me. I always end up buying clothes that I only get to use a handful of times before I outgrow them physically, mentally, and emotionally. When it comes to clothes, I leave that department to my mom. Yeah, my mom. She’s my fashion consultant. She can buy me clothes without me there with her to try them out and they all fit when she brings all of them home! Plus, the clothes she buys always complements the ones I already have at home! Amazing! Why can’t I ever get how she does it?

So yeah, makeup buying is easier than clothes, I think. For one thing, they’re all consumable so I need only replenish the ones I’ve used up! No problem there. If ever I feel adventurous, well, I have the money (hypothetically speaking) to get adventurous! If I do get to buy makeup that’s not for me one way or another, then I can give them to my mom who’s skin is always adaptable to all makeup! I have sensitive skin, she doesn’t. And her skin is flawless!

There you have it! My WYR for this week. Try the tag out if you haven’t, yet, and comment tag/link to me in your posts because I’d like to know your WYRs. 🙂
