When you’ve already hit rock bottom, then there’s no other way you could go but up.
I’m sure we’ve all felt this at one point in time—feeling hopeless, helpless, and downright depressed. And I’m sure we’ve all had our reasons for feeling this way and the cause of these emotions are unique to each one of us.
But have you ever wondered why you’re still holding on despite everything? It’s because deep inside, you know that there is still something or someone somewhere out there that will turn things around. But what you fail to see is that that “something or someone somewhere out there” is not really out there, but within. Every person has a strength beyond his or her awareness. As this week’s Music Mondays’ feature song, you still have a lot of fight left in you.
Fight Song by Rachel Platten
Personally, for songs to inspire me to fight back, be strong, and not lose hope, I normally look to Kelly Clarkson’s music (like this one). Not only do the lyrics give encouraging message, the upbeat melody itself can really lift me up and pull me out of the dumps.
But Rachel Platten’s Fight Song, which is literally meant to be any one’s fight song (if you haven’t found yours yet), also got me going. I’m sure if you’ve heard of it, you’d also make it your theme song for the week if ever you’re embarking on an impossible journey or hard mission, whatever it is. I know it’s my theme song for this week.
